The festival of colors closes winter on the full moon of Phalguna. The evening before, Holika Dahan bonfires recall Prahlada's deliverance: devotion outlasting arrogance. In 2026, Holika Dahan is expected on the evening of March 3, with color play on March 4.
How families observe it at home
